Grant Hutchinson- Registered Psychotherapist
Buddhist Meditation Teacher + Yoga Teacher

Grant began teaching yoga and meditation in 2005 following his yoga and meditation studies and training in India and South East Asia. The underlying motivation of his teaching is present moment embodied experience whether on the yoga mat or meditation cushion, in the office, in traffic or with loved ones.
The indivisibility of spiritual practice and daily life has been fundamental to Grant’s orientation. His teaching delves into the richness and relevance of these practices in our lives, right now. Grant approaches these teachings as self-study; a means of grappling with what is underneath the form or appearance to co-create ways for each of our own specific bodies and minds to explore practice in an accessible and sustainable way.
Grant has studied meditation in Hatha Yoga, Theravadin and Soto Zen Buddhist traditions. He lived for close to two years at Tassajara, the San Francisco Zen Centre’s Monastic training centre in the mountains of Northern California and has sat differing length retreats at other centres in India, Sri Lanka, the US and Canada. He studied for many years with Michael Stone.
As another means of exploring the interface between practice and life, Grant began his private psychotherapy practice in 2018 and expects to complete his five year Gestalt training at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto in the Spring of 2019.
